A cappella popularity (on the net)

The X-Factors are a co-ed acappella group at Northwestern University. Along with putting on our own sold-out fall and spring shows, we perform at various Northwestern events, for local schools, and other public and private events around the Northshore area, like singing at your grandmother’s birthday party or a romantic serenade proposing to your significant other.

We perform all genres of music, from The Beatles to the iTunes new discovery of the week to Billboard top 40 to Disney favorites. All our songs are arranged by members of the group. We have seriously talented friends.

The X-Factors have released five CDs and have been selected for compilation CDs like “Voices Only.” Our most recent CD, The Pink Album, was released in late May and is already starting to get noticed on the national a cappella scene. We’ve been nominated for CARA awards, been featured on VOICESONLY 2013 and BOCA 2013. We’ve received a great review from Mike Chin of The A Cappella Blog (head over to this postto read all about it!).
We also placed second in a national competition this past year, with Aaron White, a current junior, winning for ‘Best Soloist’!

This year we toured the LA area, sang to some hollywood stars (you know, the ones on the ground), and worked with a bunch of amazing schools! AND the weather was PERFECT!

We just finished recording our latest CD, “Singing For Churros”, which is set to be released at the end of May 2014.
