Postyr

Denmark

Postyr Project is known for their innovative and authentic style – mixing the vocal tradition with cutting edge technology while singing original and catchy pop tunes as well as heartfelt ballads. Since the foundation of the group in 2009, Postyr Project has received several prizes and has among other things been nominated for 3 CARA awards and 4 ACA awards. Furthermore, in June 2011 Postyr Project won 1st prize at the prestigious contest of vocal ensembles at Tampere Vocal Music Festival in Finland.

Originally, Postyr Project emerged from the inspiring musical environment around the world famous choir, Vocal Line, and the award winning vocal group, Vox 11. Having had the opportunity to perform with international artists such as Grammy winner Bobby McFerrin, Swedish jazz-legends The Real Group and Danish newcomers Mads Langer and Julie Maria, the five singers decided to take their passion for the fragility of american singer-songwriters, the edge of electronic music and the evocative soundscapes of avantgarde pop to the next level by founding Postyr Project in October 2009.

Postyr Project is:
Tine Fris
, Line Groth,
Andreas Bech,
Anders Hornshøj and Kristoffer Fynbo Thorning
